About Anthropoetics
Anthropoetics, founded in 1995 as UCLA's first Open Access journal, is devoted to Generative Anthropology, which studies the works of human culture on the hypothesis that language, religion, art, and all things specifically human can be traced to a unique scene of origin. The Chronicles of Love & Resentment have been available since 1995 and number over 400.

2013 Summer Conference

Our seventh annual Summer Conference will be held at UCLA from June 27-30! Click here for information.
We have previously held six summer conferences in addition to the founding conference held in 1990 at UCLA. The 2010 conference was held jointly by Westminster College and Brigham Young University in Utah and the 2011 conference was held at High Point University in North Carolina. The 2012 GASC was held in Tokyo jointly with COV&R, following up on the efforts of late GA stalwart Herbert Plutschow.
The Generative Anthropology Society and Conference has been formed to help support ongoing conference efforts. Visit the Society home page and become a member here.
